April 4, 11, 18, 25, 2024 | Thursdays 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. CDT

facilitated by Wendy Deering-Poynter
Cost: $60

Poetry distills pieces of truth we have discovered in the living of life. In its succinct, vivid language, poetry gives us space to SENSE the truth before intellectually acknowledging it. Poetry often reveals what is sacred and holy, thus speaking of the divine whether the poet names God or not. April is National Poetry Month, so join us for a four-week series exploring how the divine shines through poetry selections, including those of Mary Oliver, Hafiz, and Christine Valters Paintner.

Poetry is the deification of reality. —Edith Sitwell
God is the perfect poet. —Robert Browning
Every single soul is a poem. —Michael Franti
