Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow—Celebrating 25 Years of Souljourners
April 26-27, 2024 | Friday, 2:30 p.m. – Saturday, 4:00 p.m. CDT
Cost: $60 for overnight stay accommodations and breakfast (currently all of our rooms are full). For those staying in a local hotel, or who are only attending on Saturday, there is no charge, however, donations of any amount would be much appreciated.
Come and be a part of the celebration! Souljourners faculty, alumni and current students, will be gathering at Sophia Center, as we joyfully give thanks for 25 wonderful years of our Souljourners ecumenical formation program for spiritual directors. Come Friday and stay over to Saturday, or just come on Saturday. We are excited to feature keynotes by Lucy Abbott Tucker and S. Judith Sutera in addition to providing the opportunity to attend Vespers and supper with the sisters, and reconnect with old friends and make new! We look forward to seeing you and celebrating together.
Celebration Program:
Friday (arrival time between 1 and 2:00 p.m., with a gathering prayer to begin things at 2:30)
- keynote presentation by Lucy Abbott Tucker
- breakout sessions led by Souljourners staff and alums
- vespers and dinner with the sisters in the monastery
- evening time at Sophia Center to socialize and renew friendships
Saturday (beginning at 9:30 a.m., and concluding by 4:00 p.m.)
- keynote presentations by Lucy Abbott Tucker and S. Judith Sutera
- prayer, discussion, closing ritual
- catered lunch at Sophia Center
- departure at 4:00
An important note on accommodations: Currently all rooms are taken.
We have a limited number of rooms available for overnight stay at the monastery, which we are offering on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please know you may need to make reservations at one of our local hotels if you are planning to stay overnight. We will let you know right away if this is the case.
